Voice changer FAQ
What's the difference between pitch and formant?
Pitch is how high or low the voice plays. Formant is how big the speaker sounds — the resonance of their throat and vocal tract. Shifting only pitch makes a chipmunk; shifting both gives a natural deeper / higher voice.
Can I make my voice gender-neutral?
Yes — set pitch to a small negative or positive shift (±2-3 semitones) and adjust formant slightly in the same direction. The combo gives a more believable result than either alone.
How extreme can I go?
Up to ±12 semitones pitch and 0.5×–1.5× formant. Past that the audio gets noticeably artifacted.
Is my file kept private?
Yes. We don't analyse or index your audio.
