About this fade-in / fade-out tool
A clean fade is the difference between a track that ends and a track that finishes. This tool adds a linear fade at the start, the end, or both — to any audio file you drop in. Pick the length in seconds, run it, and download the result.
There's no upload, no signup, and no quality cap on the source file.

Audio fade FAQ
Can I add only a fade-in, or only a fade-out?
Yes. Set the other duration to 0 and only the one you set will be applied.
How long should a fade be?
Voiceover intros work well at 0.5–1 s. Music outros usually want 3–6 s for a natural fade. Ringtones typically fade out in 1–2 s.
Are the fades linear or curved?
Linear by default — the most natural option for short fades. The engine supports curves like exp and sinusoidal; ask if you need them exposed in the UI.
Will the audio be re-encoded?
Yes — adding a fade requires re-encoding. The output uses the same format as the input at a sensible quality default.
