Album Art Extractor & Embedder

Pull the cover image out of any MP3, or attach a new one. ID3v2-compatible — works in iTunes, Spotify Local Files, Plex and every player.

Operation

About this album art tool

Two operations in one page. Extract pulls the embedded cover image out of an MP3 and gives it back to you as a JPEG or PNG. Embed takes an MP3 plus an image and writes the image into the file's ID3v2 tag, so every player from iTunes to Plex shows it next to the track.

We don't analyse or index your audio or your art.

How to extract or embed album art

  1. 01

    Pick a mode

Extract pulls the existing art out. Embed lets you attach a new image.

  2. 02

    Drop in your file(s)

For embed, drop the audio file AND the image you want to attach.

  3. 03

    Run the operation

The result is a downloadable image (extract) or a new MP3 with art baked in (embed).

Album art FAQ

Which audio formats can I extract art from?

MP3 (ID3v2 APIC), M4A / AAC (atom-based), FLAC and OGG / OPUS (Vorbis comment with embedded picture). The tool reports if no art is found.

What size should the embedded art be?

1000×1000 to 1500×1500 is the sweet spot — looks great on Spotify Local Files and iTunes without bloating the MP3. Anything past 3000×3000 mostly just makes the file bigger.

Will the audio quality drop when I embed art?

No. Embedding art only modifies the metadata frames at the start of the file — the audio bits are copied through untouched.

Is my file kept private?

Yes. We don't analyse or index your music or your image.
