Earrape Generator

Push any track into extreme distortion + clipping. The meme. Output is volume-clamped to prevent damage.

Intensity

⚠️ Distorted audio sounds louder at the same volume than clean audio. Turn your speaker / headphone volume down before playing the result.

About this earrape generator

Earrape — the meme genre where audio is so loud and distorted that it sounds like the speakers are screaming. This tool lifts any track into the same territory by chaining heavy compression, gain, and a soft limiter so the result is loud, distorted, and consistent — but the output peak is clamped so it can't exceed safe playback levels (no, this won't actually break your speakers).

Use it for memes, video edits, prank ringtones. Don't use it on someone else's hearing — turn the volume DOWN before pressing play.

Earrape FAQ

Will this damage my speakers / headphones?

Output is peak-limited at -1 dBTP — same level as a normally-mastered track. The distortion is in the audio itself, not the playback level. Turn the volume to a comfortable level before playing and you're fine.

Will this damage my hearing?

Same caveat: only as much as any loud audio. Distorted audio can actually make sustained listening feel louder than it is. Use sparingly.

What's the actual processing?

Heavy compression, +20 dB gain, soft saturation, hard limit. The chain is intentionally extreme.

Is my file kept private?

Yes. We don't analyse or index your audio.
