About this mashup builder
A mashup is two tracks playing at the same time — typically the acapella of one song over the instrumental of another. This tool stacks any two audio files into one output, with controls for the time offset between them and the per-track volume.
Use it to layer two beats, place a vocal over an instrumental, or build a quick A vs. B mashup test.
How to make an audio mashup
- 01
Drop in track A
The first track — usually the bed (instrumental, beat or backing).
- 02
Drop in track B
The second track — usually the top (vocal, lead, sample).
- 03
Set offset and balance, render
Offset moves track B in time; balance controls the loudness mix.

Mashup FAQ
Will the BPMs sync automatically?
No — this tool just overlays. For tempo matching, run one track through the Speed Changer or Pitch Shifter first to align BPMs.
What does the offset do?
Offset shifts track B forward in time. Use 0 for both starting together, or set N seconds to delay track B's entry.
Why is one track louder than the other in the mix?
Two tracks at full volume can clip when summed. The balance slider trims each track's level so the combined output stays clean.
Will the audio quality drop?
Some — overlay requires re-encoding to MP3 at 192k. Lossless inputs lose a small amount of fidelity at this bitrate.
